THE MUSEUM’S RESOURCES – THE POZNAŃSKI FAMILY ARCHIVE It is the collection of unique archival materials showing the history of diplomacy and Polish refugees, first of all the activity of the Consul-General of the Second Republic of Poland in France and Great Britain – doctor Karol Poznański. The uncommonly valuable, generous gift was given to the Kazimierz Wielki University of Bydgoszcz, by living in Canada, ex-consul’s wife – Wanda Poznańska and their daughter – Magdalena in 1997 and 2003. The collection is made of original documents (the first copies of which bear the date of June 3, 1917) Among hundreds of priceless documents are: an offprint of The Peace Treaty of Riga negotiated between The Republic of Poland and Russia on the 18th of March 1921, the wealthy collection of official and private photos, and Polish banknotes, collected by Karol Poznański in the years 1920 – 1970, unique manuscripts and accreditation letters, diplomas, nominations for consular offices, correspondence, invitations to balls, banquets, materials related to international conferences.
